The Trans Canada Highway 104 from Sutherland' s
River to Antigonish must be twinned as soon as possible. Barneys River Fire
Chief Joe MacDonald continually advocates for the twinning this piece of
Nova Scotia Premier Stephen McNeil must be convinced that this is a top priority project, which needs be initiated immediately. There have been 15 fatalities and 347 accidents since 2009, on this 37 km stretch of un-twinned highway since 2009, with the most recent fatality on May 22, 2016. This dangerous stretch of highway must be twinned within the next 5 years and extended to the Canso Causeway. This would completely twin the Trans Canada Highway on Mainland Nova Scotia. We need to convey to Premier MacNeil the urgency of this project. Petitions with many signatures carry a powerful message.
